Universe hear my prayer

Lately I feel like something is telling me that I need a big black and white turban. SOMETHING being the Universe/G-d/Allah/Zeus or just the mighty Internet. Then I remember I'm a lil girl who could never pull it off like Solange Knowles or this random gal (I don't know who this is sorry). And then I pray for enough money to pay to be transplanted with just a bit of the Knowles family genes. If you're brave enough/cool enough to rock this turban, please go forth. And send pics.

summer mood

Today I've begun to put together the beginnings of my summer playlist. Do you have any suggestions? My favourite jams to put on these types of playlists are songs with tropical beats and beachy vibes -- also, steel drums can't hurt...

Anybody starved for inspiration (hahaha...that sounds a little melodramz, my bad)? It's been kind of gray around here lately but when I saw this spread on Fashion Gone Rogue (thanks to my bf4eva Pull Teeth aka Andrew Chipman for linking me) I was instantly like WOAH. Well then I would bet money (10 bux, wanna gamble?) that you'll like Annabu and her blog Bu The Right Thing. Not only does her name make me squeal (how cute, right?) but her style is to die for. Think printed leggings, bright colours, mixed prints and chunky knits - kind of everything I'm into! Sucker Punch You In the Junk

Yes, it's disappointing that the much-anticipated (um...by me at least?) movie Sucker Punch has been repeatedly reviewed as the worst movie of the year. But can we all agree that it was the best movie PREMIERE of the year? With a cast full of really cool women who are all about taking risks with their fashion choices (see: Jena Malone, Emily Browning) this premiere was bound to be a feast for the eyes:

Do you think all the girls coordinated their outfits via text/skype before going? Not that I've ever... done that... but seriously, they had to have talked about it sometime because what we see here is a group of cool girls wearing totally complementary colours and looking amazing in a group photo. Canary yellow, floral, baby blue brocade (!!!) and a really great 90's separates outfit featuring a b-top! Much obliged, ladies.

A new post on the internet

I've always been a Liv Tyler fan, haven't you? She's just so freaking pretty and seems so sweet and and and her dad is Steven Tyler! What's cooler than that? Did you know she didn't know who her father was until her mother (the beautiful mother Bebe Buell) took her to an Aerosmith concert and she met Steven Tyler. Apparently she was like "Dude! I look a lot like that guy, but in a girl body? This is weird Mom..." and her mom fessed up. I made up that quote but you get the idea.

What was I saying? OH Liv Tyler! Beyond the fact that she's gorgeous, she also has pretty awesome style. One of my favourite episodes of Rachel Zoe Project was when Rachel brought racks and racks of clothes to Liv's place and they just had a little try-on sesh. It was cool because instead of gowns it was all these really chic casual clothes and it gave you an insight into the other side of styling (usually RZ Proj is all about formal events which can get boring). I always think of Rachel Zoe now when I see Liv Tyler wearing some killer outfits but I want to make sure credit goes to both parties because I think Liv also has great personal style. I am obsessed with this letterman jacket and black leather skirt combo. Only a perfect human woman can wear a jacket draped over her shoulders and not look like a dank...Observe:





Amazing, no? And now I leave you with some awesome screenshots of Liv and Alicia Silverstone in daddy's video for Crazy. I'm sure it was established when this first hit the airwaves but it is SO CREEPY that Steven Tyler has a video for his band where his DAUGHTER pole dances? Either way this video cracks me up every time.
